Out of the Blue into the Black (2013)

In this performative installation we try to uncover sensations of the end.

How could the end be evoked in the self-present and elusive space of performance?

We found this feeling in gestures, voices and images of a pop-cultural past: a last song in seemingly eternal repetition, a dance of iterated rock poses and a video projection of contorted images that depict a cheering crowd.

In reconstructing fragments of this petrified iconography of rock – in all its fake authenticity –  we ask about relations between collective and individual memories.

Notes
1. How do you know that this is the end?
2. All we do is postponing the end.
3. A good end is an end that actually ends.
